A case has been registered against two DMK officials, while an attempt was made to kill a VAO who was trying to stop illegal sand mining near Palani.

He seized the trucks carrying sand there and conducted an investigation. On investigation, it was revealed that the sand miners had no pass for the Ayakudy area, and they had a pass for the pond belonging to another area, Dadhanayakanpatti.

The VAO and his assistant were walking behind, leaving the trucks ahead to go to the police station. It is said that the people who came in the jeep suddenly drove the lorries at high speed and did not overtake the two-wheeler. They drove the vehicle on the right and left sides of the two-wheeler, left the back door open, and threw dirt on top of them.

VAO Karupusamy contacted Ayakudy Police Station and informed them that two policemen had arrived at the scene.

The VAO and his assistant filed a complaint at the Ayakudy police station, demanding action against those who had threatened their lives and fled with the truck. In this case, a case has been registered against DMK officials Sakthivel and Bhaskar for trying to kill the VAO and his assistant.

In this case, VAO Karuppasamy, his assistant Makudeeswaran, and two constables tried to kill four people by throwing river sand on them and loading the truck, which is shocking.
