The senior leader of the Marxist Communist party, Sankarayya, has passed away due to declining health. At the age of 102, suffering from fever and other ailments, Sankarayya had been receiving treatment at a private hospital. Today, his demise due to the consequences of treatment has been announced by the senior officials of the Communist party.

Sankarayya, who fought against the British during the Indian independence struggle and later for the rights of people working towards freedom, was a stalwart in the struggle for the rights of the people.

Tamil Nadu government has announced state honors for Sankarayya for his significant contributions to public service. They conferred upon him the title of Tamilan, recognizing his service.

His demise has left the political leaders of the Communist party deeply saddened. Various political party leaders have expressed grief over Sankarayya’s demise. The funeral arrangements for Sankarayya’s demise are currently being organized by political party leaders.”
