The Ministry of External Affairs of India has announced the shocking news that the Qatari court has sentenced eight former Indian Navy personnel who were arrested for espionage in Qatar, one of the Gulf countries, to death.

All eight of them were arrested by the Qatari government in August last year for spying by providing information about the Qatari submarine to Israel. But it seems that the government of Qatar has not sent any report to the government of India regarding their arrest.

In this situation, the case in which eight people were arrested for espionage has been going on since last March in the Qatari court. It was expected to complete its investigations and deliver a verdict by the end of this month.
