Chennai: AIADMK former MP The Madras High Court has ordered AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palanichamy to respond in the defamation case filed by KC Palanichamy. AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palanichamy had filed a legal case in the Madras High Court against former MP KC Palanichamy for illegally collecting money by issuing fake membership cards.

KC Palanichamy had filed a defamation case in the George Town Court, Chennai, claiming that the comments made about him in this case were defamatory. The court that heard the case dismissed KC Palaniswami’s defamation case and ordered it last August.

KC Palaniswami had filed a review petition in the Madras High Court to quash this order. When this petition came up for hearing before Judge G. Jayachandran, when all the supporting documents were filed, it was wrong to order dismissal of the defamation case.

Subsequently, Edappadi Palaniswami was ordered to answer the KC Palaniswami case and adjourned the hearing of the case to November 8.
