The boy was admitted to Egmore Children’s Hospital with symptoms of dengue fever and survived. The boy, who was under medical observation for a week, died without treatment.
Dengue fever cases are increasing across the country. Thus, all the states are taking serious steps to reduce the spread of dengue as per the guidelines of the Indian Ministry of Health. The Tamil Nadu government has ordered to take precautionary measures to prevent dengue fever across the district and to create separate medical units for dengue fever in hospitals.
Minister M. Subramanian has said that advice has been given to take precautionary measures against mosquitoes and dengue throughout the state.
In this situation, a 10-year-old boy named Sakthi Saravanan died of fever in Chenneerkuppam near Poovindavalli this morning. The boy was admitted to the Egmore Children’s Health Hospital with symptoms of dengue fever, and his blood cells were apparently low. The boy, who was under medical observation for a week, succumbed to treatment this morning.
It may be recalled that a 4-year-old boy died of dengue fever in Chennai.
