K C Palanisamy (born 7 December 1959) is an Indian politician, former Member of Parliament (MP) and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Tamil Nadu (TN). A former member of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), he served the Dravidian party founded by former Chief Minister (CM) of Tamil Nadu, late Dr. M G Ramachandran (MGR) on 17 October 1972.

The Tamil Nadu government has informed the Madras High Court that criminal charges will be filed against those involved in illegal hoarding.

Cases such as the death of a young girl when an advertisement board fell in the middle of the road in Chennai and the death of a boy due to electrocution when a flagpole was erected to welcome Minister Ponmudi in Villupuram, and cases seeking action against the authorities who allowed the installation of advertisement boards in violation of the rules, were heard last time in the session of Chief Justice Gangapurwala and Justice Adikesawalu. At that time, the government informed us that digital banners have been banned, banner culture has been eradicated in Tamil Nadu, and actions, including suspension, have been taken against officials who have violated the rules.

Government pleader B. Muthukumar appeared for the government and said that billboards were not allowed to be put up in Tamil Nadu against the law. Criminal cases will be registered against those who put up billboards illegally. He said that the Tamil Nadu government is taking appropriate steps to eradicate the banner culture.

The judges adjourned the hearing for two weeks after directing the government to file a reply.
