As dengue fever is spreading rapidly across Tamil Nadu, flu has also posed a new threat. As far as Chennai is concerned, epidemiologists have warned that 60% of those who come with fever have blue eyes.
So far, 300 people are being treated for dengue fever. Hence, the health department has embarked on serious preventive measures. Apart from this, fever and eye-related infections known as Madras Eye have been on the rise in Chennai in recent days.
This time, 60% of those who come to Chennai with a fever have the flu. It can last up to six days for middle-aged people. There will be a mild fever. But these same children, people with co-morbidities, and the elderly can have severe effects from Blue. To protect ourselves from this, we need to take vaccines.
If the fever persists for more than 3 days, they must come to the hospital for treatment. Because blue is infected, it can even cause pneumonia if left untreated.
Similarly, doctors have said about the dengue vaccine, “This vaccine is not effective at full strength. It is said that there are four types of dengue virus. But actually, there are five types. Each one is different. So it is challenging to find a vaccine.”
