Bleach Powder Substituted with Maida Flour!

In Chennai, Naravarikuppam Municipality undertook the work of restoring the damage caused by the cyclone and rain floods in Chengalpattu.

In this context, yesterday morning, sanitary workers removed the accumulated garbage and waste from the streets and sprinkled the disinfectant powder. This would reduce mosquito infestation and the threat of poisonous insects such as rats and snakes, and the people felt relieved.

However, people in the vicinity of Dr. Vaitheeswaran Street and the Government Primary Health Center in Chengalpattu were suspicious of the powder that was sprinkled. When they took it in their hands, it was not sticky. When they smelled it, they could smell maida flour.

When the sanitary workers checked the bundle they brought, it contained maida flour, which is used to make biscuits and bread in bakeries. When they were questioned, they said that they were sprinkling what the municipal officials had given them.

People on social media shared the comedy of Naravarikuppam Municipality, which sprinkled maida flour instead of bleach powder.
